I feel so blessed! I had another amazing day with the students in the labor room. We had 4-5 women in there all day in labor. One delivery happened when i went home for lunch, went from barely starting to delivery super fast. Then about 5 pm I got to do the catching on this sweet girl named Sarah. It was a beautiful birth and a victory in keeping mom and baby skin to skin. Watching baby breastfeed right away, watching mom hold her baby so in love those first moments. This is huge!

After work us volunteers were going to have dinner again together! So fun having some girls I can mother. 😊. At least that is what they have been teasing me about. The other problem is I keep making too much food, so I have to have people come over to eat it!

We made salsa together, heated up leftovers and made some black bean brownies for their hike today. I thought of the brownies because I had so many left over beans. Only problem was I forgot I had spiced these beans already, so they were spicy brownies with a bit of a kick!
