Goodbye Spain!

Spent the whole day traveling on Wed. Airport lines are really, really long in Europe. I have learned to get there early. Once at the Rome airport, it was already dark, but I quickly found the right bus and was on my way into the city of Rome.

I met a girl from Ukraine on the bus going off to University. She is only 17 yrs. Wishing she could go to the dream land of America!

I'm staying at a convent in Rome. I thought that would add to the experience.

So I got off the bus and google maps said it's only 2.2 kilometers. I'm thinking I can walk that.

So I start walking, but sometimes your not so sure about google maps. What if it's not taking me to the right place...... I have a suitcase and a heavy back pack, the walk ways are ruff, really bumpy so the suit case doesn't roll nicely, it's dark and I'm in a huge city with cars and buses zooming by. For some reason my cell phone is acting weird too, so I was just a bit nervous. So I prayed the Lord would help me to get to the convent safe and right away I felt peace. In just a couple of minutes I see 2 priests and a lady walking and catch up to them and ask if they might know where this convent is. They said they sure do, that's where they are staying too! What a miracle! They got me right to the door!!! I am blessed over and over again how God takes care of me!

The next morning after having breakfast with my new friends, they invited me to sightsee with them. What an adventure we had. I was so happy, because I would have never been able to get around and figure out where I was. We saw probably 6 cathedrals. We took a tour through the catacombs. I learned quite a bit about Constantine's Mother Helena. About a martyr named Saint Cecilia. Saw a sliver of wood evidently from Jesus's cross.
