Last class this trip

My last class today! I have really enjoyed my time teaching here! The students are so happy to take the classes. I don’t have a final count yet, but I’m guessing it was over 200 students! Rianne, June and Loren would come in and help me with scenarios and testing. Here Rianne is giving a scenario: of course we make up all sorts of stories: “a girl about 17 has come in the maternity ward in active labor, she has had no prenatal care, and hasn’t told her family she’s pregnant. Show how you will care for this mom” or ” you’ve just worked a 12 hour shift and you're leaving the hospital when you see a crowd on the side of the road. You happen to have supplies with you because you're doing home visits tomorrow. Turns out there is a lady on the side of the road having a baby. Show how you will take charge, call for help, and care for this mom and baby” of course most of the time our baby doesn’t breathe since we are teaching how to help a baby to breathe! We have babies born in matatos, (vans) or gas stations, we have all sorts of complications and of course frantic moms! In the end everyone knows how to ventilate a baby, and take good care of mom and baby.
