It's so funny how I've traveled quite a bit now, walking in big cities at night, in the rain, a little lost, trying to figure out public transportation, driving in Italian cities etc. People have said your so brave etc. But truth is, now that I'm heading home, I'm more nervous then I have been the whole trip. After feeling and experiencing the life style in both Africa and Italy, of living a slower, non stressful life. Now it scares me to go back to my crazy busy American life, where my to do list is always a full page long everyday! Where I can never get everything done. Where I always need to be multitasking. I'm seeing the difference so clearly, but have no idea how to change our American life style! I love everything I'm busy with and can't cut anything out that I can see. May the Lord give peace and wisdom!
Friday I spent the day getting everything packed up because I needed to leave early Sat morning for London.. Flying is stressful! Trying to get through all the airport stuff, luggage requirements, and weight restrictions,...... I got to the airpot 3 hours early and I still ended up running for the plane. I actually heard my name over the loud speaker!
I flew first to Milan and had a few hours to relax there and enjoy my last bit of Italy before I flew to London. It was nice to hear English again! I'm here in London for 3 nights before I fly to Seattle. I found a church close by this morning and was totally blessed! "I no longer need to fear....... I am a child of God".
I was amazing how many people are out walking this morning, even though it was cold and raining.
Planning to see Oxford tomorrow! CS Lewis, John Wesley area. I've read so many books from these areas! There is an old coffee shop from the yr 1242.
