Today we finished up our helping babies breathe class. Everyone that took the class yesterday had to do their test individually.

This took quite a bit of time, and we enjoyed having someone pretend to be the mama, giggling with the funny actor while the student delivers the baby following different scenarios. Everyone passed their tests! And got a certification for HBB!

Then the ladies from the hospital wanted to take us to see the nursing school. They got a bus for us and we all went to the nursing school.

When we pulled up to the school, I was surprised because you don't see a school anywhere. It looked like a store with scrubs in the front. But sure enough when you walk in there was a small classroom to the left and another down the hall.

The Director of the school is very passionate about wanting to teach better practices for Dominican republic. When she heard I was teaching some classes she was very excited and wanted to have me come back and teach her students.

She said if we could teach 30 students, the correct way of safe, kind, healthy birth, and taking care of babies, it would eventually catch on and slowly bit by bit, things would change in Dominican Republic . She wanted me to commit to a time. she says they will hire a translator if I would come for a week or two and teach classes. She was very convincing!!!

I have much to pray about and we will have time to visit with each other later in the week to see if we want to come together again and come back.
