I got home from one excursion and about a week and a half later took off for another. One week I was on the Oregon beach and less than two weeks later, I am on a beach in Michigan!
Every year there is a Christian Midwifery conference, and I've never been able to attend for one reason or another. This year I had nobody due! 😊🤪😊
I will be teaching "Helping babies breathe " on the first day. And because I'll be teaching, I'll be able to attend the entire conference for free. 😊I'm so excited!
But of course, I wanted to have an adventure instead of just going to the conference and coming back home! So I decided to fly into Grand Rapids Michigan and have a little tourist experience before the conference
My first day here started in Grand Rapids.
It's a beautiful city. Michigan so far is been beautiful overall. The weather is perfect and even in the city things seem clean and nicely kept up.
In the 1880s Grand Rapids must've been a booming town because there are houses everywhere of that are from the 1880s and kept up absolutely beautiful. I went to a Historical neighborhood where the wealthy must have lived. Big beautiful houses and mansions. I went to the "wealthy Street in Bakery" to eat lunch. I walked through the neighborhood and took pictures of the beautiful very old houses. I think what surprises me is it in Montana or in the Wedt in general, things are not very old. As you go east the history is commonly 40 years older and the further east you go it gets even older.
Of course then there is Italy where you get really, really old
The tomatoes are huge here. That tomato is as big as my hand!
Next I went to a coastal town called
Muskegon. I went onto a ship that had been in WW2. It was set as a historical museum. I loved seeing the clothes from that time period. All the different nurses uniforms.
The chain from the anchor was incredible.
I loved seeing the soldier reading his Bible. What a wonderful comfort we have in God's word!
