I've never been to Florence so I'm excited to see what it's like. We rented a car at the Florence airport which is a bus ride away from the train station. We took a fast train from Rome to Florence. It was super fast! 90 min for 176 miles. Once got to the train station, we had to figure out a bus to the airport and a tram to pick up our car. Then we had the challenge of driving in Italy. Since I had the experience from the last trip and the international drivers license, I was the driver. I felt this exhilaration from conquering the challenge or following the map program and figuring out the roads!
Our Airbnb is actually out in the country in a town called Sieci. It was a beautiful farm house, fixed up really nice!
The first day we decided to hang out in a little town close to our airbnb. It was a perfect little town with the produce store and nice ladies I made friends with. The meat market with his homemade sausage. We spent a couple hours in a cafe because all the stores closed, drinking cappuccino and eating treats. We found the library and had a great chat with some college students.
Notice the head still on the chicken. but the butchers here cut things to order. So he will cut off the head if you want.
Coffee shop, I like their hats.
