Oregon continued

I started my Sunday listening to church online! We've been in the book of Acts for a while and I'm really enjoying it.

One thing that the Lord showed me today was that Paul, although he did some horrible things, it was out of his pure desire to do right, good, godly. He was trying to be the best " Christian " he could be. And he ended deeply harming so many people! I'm sure the regret was horrible!

I could relate, because at one point in my life in my zeal to follow God with my whole heart and doing what I thought would please God, got me way way off track.

I'm so thankful that God sees our hearts and can use our foolishness for good in the end.

After checking out of my Airbnb, I headed to downtown Portland, and went to the famous Powells bookstore! Powells has been around forever, it's a huge bookstore that has both used and new books. It is so big it covers a whole city block! Super fun to go to if you love to read like I do.

While there, I bought one of my favorite books called "why French women don't get fat". So as I left the house, I decided I should go find a French bakery , and sure enough there was one within blocks away. Couldn't believe it!

I got a baguette and a bun of some sort. Very fun!

Then off I was to IKEA. Had a great time enjoying my favorite store! I had so much fun looking at all their ideas of organizing! I bought lots of wonderful organizing stuff, a pretty rug, a chair for the birth room. Picked up a few things for others. A little tight fit in the car but I was super happy to get it all in!

Now off to Salem where I found a very reasonable airbnb.
