One of the final days before my trip I had planned a postpartum luncheon and class. A time when each mom and baby gets their final check up or visit. Gets to visit with other moms and hopefully encourage these young moms while they are in the midst of a busy season of life.
I gave them a cooking show for their lunch. I made a zucchini creamy pasta. A healthier Alfredo recipe that can be put together in 15 minutes.
Besides giving lessons on exercises (Which my apprentice taught wonderfully) and health things, I had a little encouragement to share too about how much God loves what they are doing as moms. We live our lives in so much guilt of not doing enough, not able to keep up doing all these wonderful things we want to do: wanting to visit the sick neighbor or keep our plants watered, or organize our basement etc etc. The list goes on and we always want to live better. But to remember that God loves it when we are just living life in the best we can , cuddling babies, feeding our family, having patience in messes and hard situations . He is pleased and enjoying life with us. Instead of living in guilt I encouraged them to live in joy and peace.
So it was a great time with some beautiful moms and babies.
