Saturday in Kapsowar

Saturday was a lovely day! Went to hang out in the labor ward but it was very slow with only 2 moms in labor. I had a nice visit with nurses and students. June, Rianne and I went into town and I was so happy to find white board markers for class. Something I had forgotten to bring with me.

After stopping in again in the labor ward late afternoon, without change, I made some dinner. We’ve been enjoying having different missionaries over and getting to know the Drs. I made sourdough pizza that took like an hour to bake. I brought an oven thermometer this time remembering the problems I had with baking the last time I was here. I finally got the oven to 450 degrees, but that crust still wouldn’t bake! We are at very high elevation here and I’m not used to gas ovens but still…,

I made a bit of pasta too and everyone was happy. It’s a blessing to the doctors working all day to have a good meal, so it’s something I can do for others.

June has been having knee issues and being surrounded by doctors was a huge blessing for her. A wonderful Dr from the UK took time to give her a shot and prayed over her. Hopefully she will be able to walk again by Monday afternoon.
