The adventure is never boring or straight forward!!!

I took off on Monday to head to Seattle. Monica helped

me get all packed up and I didn’t get out of the house till three in the afternoon.

It’s always so hard to decide what to bring and where to pack it, but I finally got off heading towards Seattle to Jon‘s house where I planned on staying a couple days before I left. My first adventure was going through a crazy snowstorm over the pass, it was so thick I could not see the road at all just the barriers on the side.

The next thing is I got a message from Samaritain purse that the hospital had to remove all missionaries from the hospital compound!!. They has some sort of threat and the officials are saying the security has to be beefed up before they are allowed back. So how long will that take, should I leave anyway in hopes it will get resolved , is there another hospital? What turmoil this caused. After weeks of trying to get ready to go and then just not go? I had my "Helping Babies Breathe" course to take on Wednesday. I explained the issue to the teacher fo the class and she gave me a couple names. I open up my "Christain Midwives" group on Facebook to see a post from one of those ladies asking for help in Uganda.

After a few phone calls, I began to get excited about the way God can change plans and redirect!

I decided rather then changing the flight, I would go on Nairobi as planned and if no changes happen with the hospital in Kapsowar, to head to Uganda! It's a quick flight only an hour long and $100. I can get a Visa at the airport. I filled out the application and they approved me to come!

For now I'm off to Nairobi! I will stay at a mission house and take a couple days to relax and get everything figured out.
