What a beautiful day! I had to go exchange my rental car in Bari this morning, so I thought I would make it another adventure! Even though it's costing a little more I'm excited to be able to drive across Italy on Monday. I ended up with this sweet little Toyota to explore with.
So I started my exploring by going back to Bari and figuring out the parking meters, so I don't get a ticket. I've been reading about traffic signs in Italy so I can prevent getting a ticket.
I'm also starting to see how if a person was here long enough, it wouldn't be hard to learn Italian. Because when you look at a sign and wonder what that means, there is purpose to your learning. When you're trying to learn at home random words, you don't remember them because you're not needing them or using them everyday. .
So my parking pass was for 2.5 hours, so I explored and bought some gifts and ate really yummy tortellini con panna e prosciutto.
On the way back I got off the freeway and stopped at a beach. The Adriatic Sea is known for it's very clear water. It was so clear and beautiful! I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The sand is not as fine as normal, the water was nice and warm and I wonder why I've never seen anyone swim with all this beautiful ocean around.
I was told at church on Sunday in Bari that there was an AOG church right in Mola and they meet on Thursday. I walked the mile to the meeting at 7 pm and had such a great time. It is such a huge blessing to meet brothers and sisters all over the world! There was a couple there that had lived in Canada for several years and he translated for me and I was so blessed, feeling like I have connection and friends now in Mola.
