Today was supposed to be a day off, but I was drawn to the hospital.

I did sleep in a bit and actually ate a bowl of oatmeal. First real meal I've had since the gallbladder attack last week. I'm on the mend and very happy!!

So about 11:30 AM I thought I would go to the village stores in Kapsowar. But I actually think I took the wrong road, so I went back to the hospital and had to stop in the see what was up and how my "mama's" are doing. Well of course I got stuck there!

There were several moms in labor. So I hung out and drank some tea with the nurses, took heart tones, checked up on the mom's in the recovery rooms. One mom had to go to the OR, for a C Section and so we got her ready and I was about to wheel her up and I asked the charge nurse, do you want me to stay here to deliver this other laboring mom or stay with the C Section. She said " you'll have time for both". This mom will wait for you! haha, she was wrong. That mom delivered while I was gone. C Section baby needed only a bit of help but was great.

I was going to go home, but she said, the next mom is already 8 cms. She said it in the tone of voice to tempt me. So of course I couldn't leave! We had all girls today. 3 births between 1 and 6 pm. and we left the night time staff with more.

I'm loving these sweet, amazing, strong women. They are so quiet and uncomplaining. So happy to give me a a huge smile when I see them the next day! I ask them before I take their pictures and they seem to love it. I also ask them each time if it's ok if I share the picture with my friends and family. So if you see their picture here, you know I have permission to show you!
