I had to go to Eureka today to get some beef. I had a client trade me meat for midwifery services! I was pretty excited 😊 .
After seeing memory posts from last year being in Italy about this time, I decided to look at Eureka as a tourist would. It was fun, pretending I was traveling there! It was a beautiful day for that!!!
So I visited some nice touristy stores and even went into the Catholic church, which was unlocked, open and empty. It was lovely to go in, just like I would in Italy and have a nice visit with God.
I went to "Montana market", which is a store that has been there forever! I bought some ciabatta rolls (as I'm thinking about Italy). But they were nothing like Italy! They were good soft rolls, but did not have that chewy texture at all!!!😩
I filled my car up with frozen meat packages, and drove home seeing barely a car (if any) for 70 miles, listening to my audio book.
The drive is absolutely beautiful! I always want to take pictures to capture the beauty, but I mostly just plain enjoy the beauty!
Got home and loaded all that meat into the basement and garage freezers! What a blessing! I finished my day eating fresh mozzarella with balsamic on it! (again nothing like Italian fresh mozzeralla, but still good)
What a beautiful day!
