Another lovely day. I took a day off from teaching and made a visit to the sweet nurse, Susan and her students in the prenatal clinic. This is where they do prenatal appointments and also immunizations, postpartum visits, family planning, etc.

Then hung out in the labor ward where I helped with a delivery. June was able to hold a couple babies while mom cleaned up. The student delivering was a first year nursing student and this was her 2nd birth. She did a great job, and we were able to do delayed cord clamping! The mom was up out of bed in less then 10 minutes and walked down to the postpartum room less the 20 minutes after birth! Such amazing strong woman here!

We ended our day having a family over for a nice Italian dinner, rigatoni, spaghetti, and homemade breadsticks. Our electricity went out sometime during dinner and so they ended up playing games by candlelight.
