I love these sidewalks made of stone and tile, and the little shops along the way. You see the stop light, but I haven't seen any of them working, nor are there stop signs. The roads are so skinny, no one is going fast and so you just watch. This one is a main road and very wide!
I stopped in at one of my favorite shops and took some pictures. Each area in Italy is known for different foods. This area is known for it's focaccia bread. At any of these shops you can buy focaccia bread, usually with sun dried tomatoes on it and a few olives with pits still in them . It's crispy and delicious. It's very common to see people buying a whole one or a piece or two. There is no cheese on it or sauce, just the tomatoes, and lots of them.
Here are some of the cookies I've resisted.
I went in one store that was all freezers. This was a whole case of frozen fish items, and another frozen potatoes. Each store has it's specialty. The last picture is a chocolate pie type thing. They have some with custard in them, or fruit etc. I haven't tasted them, but they sure look yummy!
